Ryotei Notoya is a ryokan in Awazu Onsen (粟津温泉), one of the four hot-spring towns that make up the Kaga Onsen area in Komatsu, Ishikawa. Every bath in the building, from the two large indoor-and-outdoor baths to the open-air tubs in some guest rooms, draws on the inn's own spring, with nothing else mixed in. The men's bath looks out over the Awazu townscape, and the women's bath opens onto a bamboo grove. A few rooms have their own open-air bath fed from the same source, and there are also private baths guests can reserve to soak alone. The water is said to leave skin feeling smooth. The inn has been running for more than 700 years. Day-use bathing isn't offered, but guests can use any of the baths at any point during their stay.
