YesBathing is accepted 10:30 to 21:00, but the last reception is 20:00. Hours are sometimes shortened on particular days, so it's worth checking the official site before a visit.
A discounted rate that includes a rental towel is also offered (currently 600 yen for adults, 300 yen for children, 200 yen for preschoolers), accepted only until 20:00.

Shionoe's spring water here is smooth and slightly slippery, guests often say it leaves skin noticeably soft, and every one of the ryokan's 74 rooms has its own onsen-fed bath, so you can soak on your own schedule without going anywhere. The shared bath, Shobu-no-yu (菖蒲の湯), pairs an indoor bath with a small open-air rotenburo and a low-temperature steam sauna, set among trees with the sound of the river and birdsong drifting in. Day-use bathing is open to visitors who aren't staying the night. The ryokan sits in wooded hills above Takamatsu, an older building with a quiet, unhurried feel. Shionoe's hot spring is said to date back some 1,250 years, discovered by the monk Gyoki and later recommended for toji (湯治) by Kobo Daishi.
