Onsen Inn Shirahamaya

A small minshuku (民宿) in Yunohama, on the Shonai coast of Yamagata. The baths are shared, with separate men's and women's sides that do not swap, and they run on Yunohama spring water. Guests say the water is salty and gentle, and that the baths are good for a long, slow soak. The building is old but kept clean, and the rooms have no bath or toilet of their own. Dinner is a kaiseki meal served in the room, usually with a whole crab, and breakfast is a set meal in the dining room.
