KKR Yamaguchi Asakura is a three-story hotel run by Japan's mutual aid association for government employees, on a quiet stretch of Yuda Onsen a little apart from the town center. The indoor and open-air baths draw on the hotel's own hot spring, water soft and faintly silky that leaves skin smooth, with a Japanese garden visible through the windows. Day-use bathing is open to non-guests, and the in-house restaurant serves lunch to day visitors as well as overnight guests; breakfast and dinner are for guests staying the night or reserved in advance.
