Tenjuku no Mori Keigetsu

This ryokan sits up in the hills outside Mine, surrounded by rice fields and forest with nothing else nearby. Every guest room has its own bath filled with hot-spring water, and the two large communal baths, one for each gender, each pair an indoor bath with a rotenburo and a sauna. The spring water itself is drawn mild rather than piping hot, so the open-air bath is kept at a gentle temperature meant for a long, unhurried soak. The cold plunge next to the sauna uses the same spring, run cool rather than heated. The inn serves kaiseki dinners built around seasonal Yamaguchi ingredients.
