Yamagata Uwano Onsen Tenjin no Yu

Tenjin no Yu is a day-use bathhouse in the hills below Zao Onsen. There is an indoor bath with a hinoki scent and two open-air baths, and the water is clear and gentle, a good contrast to the sharper sulfur baths up the mountain. Washing stations are fitted with rinse-in shampoo and bar soap, and there are free lockers outside the changing room. The wooden waiting room has vending machines, tama-konnyaku, and spring water to drink. It sits in the woods, and visitors often stop in after skiing or a round of Zao Onsen.
