The hotel's indoor bathhouse looks out over the Pacific Ocean, alongside a rock-built outdoor bath, a waterfall-shower bath called utaseyu (打たせ湯), a cold plunge and a sauna. The water is called Aoshima Onsen. It runs faintly salty and leaves skin feeling smooth. Day-use bathing is open to visitors as well as overnight guests. It's a large resort hotel on Aoshima beach, part of the Holiday Inn Resort brand, with a Western-style exterior and an international feel that reads more beach resort than traditional Japanese inn.
