Yunomori Bishunkaku has two large communal bathing halls, Taikei (大景) and Chokei (朝景), which swap between men's and women's use every morning and evening. Taikei pairs an indoor bath with an outdoor stone bath and a utaseyu (打たせ湯) standing-water shower; Chokei pairs an indoor bath with an outdoor ceramic tub and a reclining bath. A separate garden holds two more open-air baths, Hotaru-no-yu for men and Shirasagi-no-yu for women. The water runs clear and colorless, and locals call it bijin-no-yu (美人の湯), the beauty bath. Legend has it a monk found the spring about 1,200 years ago after watching an injured white heron bathe there. Day-use bathing is available.
