Kajikaso is a ryokan in Onogawa Onsen, on the Yonezawa side of Yamagata. The main baths are a round indoor bath and a covered open-air bath, filled with undiluted source water that runs kakenagashi (源泉かけ流し). Reviewers describe the water as clear, slightly slippery, with a faint sulfur smell and small flakes drifting in it. There is also a private bath that seats seven adults, and some guest rooms have their own open-air bath. Next door are a foot bath that non-guests can use and a spot where you can drink the spring water. The baths were mixed in the past, and the two old entrances are still there. Today they are separated by gender and swap over in the evening. Day visitors can bathe in two sessions, and the private bath can be booked by day visitors for one short slot.
