A ryokan in Akayu onsen that dates back to the mid-Edo period. There are separate large baths for men and women, and the women's side has an open-air bath too. Private baths (kashikiri-buro, 貸切風呂) and a family bath are available, and some rooms come with their own open-air or semi-open-air bath. The water is natural hot spring, and guests describe it as hot, with a sulfur smell. The main building keeps a retro feel, with a big stove in the lobby, and it is a modest-sized inn. Day-use bathing (higaeri nyuyoku, 日帰り入浴) is offered. There is parking in front and a second lot a minute's walk away.
