Koto no Kashin (古都の花心) is a ryokan in Yufuin where every single bath is private. There is no communal bath at all. Guests can use two shared kashikiri (貸切) pools included with a stay: Tsubaki-no-yu (つばきの湯), an open-air rotenburo, and Azami-no-yu (あざみの湯), a semi-outdoor bath. Many of the detached cottage rooms have their own in-room onsen, mostly rock baths. All the spring water runs as kakenagashi, unfiltered and undiluted, straight from the Yufuin source. The place sits just off Yunotsubo Kaido, the main tourist strip, so it is easy to reach while still feeling away from the bustle.
