A day-use bathing facility owned by Niigata City, up a narrow hill road near Iwamuro. There are separate men's and women's baths, each with an indoor bath and an outdoor one. One outdoor bath is wooden and looks toward Mt. Kakuda and the Echigo plain, the other is rock-styled with a view of Mt. Matsudake. It is a plain, quiet place that is often empty, with a large rest room on the second floor and a car park on site. Opinions on the water differ: some find it hot and warming, others notice a strong chlorine smell. Go for the views and the low-key setting.
