A restaurant or dining room open to visitors, not only meals for overnight guests
Koshi no Yado Takashimaya (高志の宿 高島屋) calls itself a "ryotei you can stay at" (泊まれる料亭), so the kaiseki meal is as much the point as the bath. The men's and women's baths have cypress indoor tubs; the men's side adds a stone open-air bath among bamboo, and the women's side a star-view bath with a skylight, and some rooms have their own bath filled with Iwamuro Onsen water. Day visitors can come in the evening for a private-room kaiseki dinner that includes a bath, for two or more people, by reservation.
