Every room at this Yufuin ryokan is a standalone cottage with its own private outdoor bath (rotenburo) and indoor bath, both fed by kakenagashi spring water. The water is smooth on the skin. There is no shared large bath, so the spring is entirely yours for the length of your stay. Some rooms face Mount Yufu, and you can soak while looking up at the volcano. The inn is adults-only and takes two guests per booking. The owner runs a butcher shop, and A5 Wagyu is the centerpiece of dinner.
