Hot Spring Resort Kazenokuni

Kazenokuni's bathhouse has separate indoor baths and saunas for men and women, fed by the resort's own onsen source. Beyond the plain soaking tub there's a jet bath and a standing waterfall (utase-yu) bath, and the water itself is smooth and gentle on the skin. There's no open-air bath, but large windows look out over the surrounding forest. The resort sits on a wooded hilltop in Gotsu, Shimane, combining a hotel wing with glamping-style camp sites and cottages. It's built with families in mind, with a kids' room, and it also takes guests traveling with pets. The spring is exclusive to the property rather than part of a named onsen town.
