Iwami no Yu Asahi Onsen Kakureya Yukari

Kakureya Yukari is a small ryokan in the hills around Asahi Onsen, in Hamada, western Shimane. The shared bath area is split by gender and has an indoor bath, an open-air bath, a jet bath and a sauna; three of the four room types add their own private open-air tub, so guests can bathe on their own schedule too. The spring water has a soft, smooth feel, known locally for being kind to the skin. The inn was formerly known as Kakure no Sato Yukari. It's a quiet place: the lobby looks over a garden pond with koi, and there's a footbath by the entrance for guests to use during their stay. Dinner is a kaiseki (会席) course built from local Shimane ingredients, served in the room rather than a dining hall.
