Dantoukan Kikunoya

Kikunoya is a ryokan at Ogoto onsen on the shore of Lake Biwa. It has large indoor baths for men and women, each with an attached open-air bath, and the onsen water is clear and known for leaving the skin smooth. Several room types add their own half-open-air onsen bath, including rooms built for guests traveling with a dog, some with a separate dog bath and an in-room footbath. Many rooms look out over the lake, and the place reads more like an old-style ryokan than a hotel: attentive service, kaiseki dinners, and a kids' space and dog run for families traveling together.
