The rock-built outdoor bath looks different by day and by night, and men's and women's sides swap daily so guests can try both. Two more baths can be booked free for a private soak, and several room types come with their own open-air tub, one of them looking out over the bay. Meals are served in the room rather than a dining hall, a rarer style now, and the sea-side rooms look out over Atami's harbor and the town lights.
