Kisuke no Yu rises in central Matsuyama as a lightly mineralized simple thermal water that qualifies as a weak radon spring — the kind of source the "hormesis" tradition is built on. It is alkaline enough to carry the slippery beauty-water feel, gentle on the body thanks to a low dissolved load, and holds enough metasilicic acid to leave skin noticeably smooth. The posted analysis puts radon at 182.7 Bq/kg, and the certificate's indications track that chemistry: gout and hyperuricemia, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, alongside insomnia and depressed mood.

742. Iyonotojiba Kisukenoyu, Matsuyama ★ A super sento with onsen water near Matsuyama Castle. The price is ¥850 on weekdays and ¥950 on weekends (from 05:00 to 10:00 it is ¥100 cheaper). The stated hours are 05:00 to 02:00. There is a diner, massage, a hair salon, a shop, massage chairs, manga, and rest areas. There is a stone bath. It is included in the Naminami Kaido Goyuin stamp-rally 2025/2026 and 2026/2027. The bath photos are from the internet, and they match. 1. Indoor area. It is fine to breathe inside, though there is a slight chlorine smell in some places. 1.1. Main bath. The water is clear, temperature 42.5. There are 4 denki-buro. 1.2. Reclining silk bath. 1.3. 5 jet reclining baths. 1.4. 3 jet sitting baths. 1.5. 4 barrels with clear water, temperature 41.5. 1.6. Walking high bath. The water is clear, temperature 38. 1.7. Strong carbonated bath. The water is clear, temperature 38. 1.8. Sauna. 1.9. Two cold baths. 1.10. Cold barrel, temperature 9. 2. Outdoor area, enclosed type. 2.1. Two saunas with different temperatures. 2.2. Event bath with herbs. Apparently there are 15 kinds, and they are rotated. The water was clear, red in color, with a smell. Temperature 42. 2.3. Barrel with cold water. A good place, worth keeping in mind when visiting Matsuyama and the Castle. 07.01.2026
