Shitan-yu (下ん湯) is a small day-use bathhouse a short walk from the main Konoha-no-yu (木乃葉の湯) reception, where you rent a key before heading over. The water is a naturally carbonated spring kept flowing straight from the source, and it's lukewarm rather than hot, warm enough to soak in for a long stretch while tiny bubbles cling all over your skin. Locals call it Ramune-no-yu (ラムネの湯) after the fizzy Japanese soda, and reviewers consistently rate it among the strongest carbonated baths they've tried. The tub is small, washing or shampooing isn't allowed here (rinse first at Konoha-no-yu), and there's no parking right at the building itself.
