Tsukinoyubuje

A small foot bath (ashiyu, 足湯) in Tsuchiyu onsen, fed with hot spring water. It has a roof, so rain is not a problem. The basin is split into two tiers at different temperatures, so you can pick the heat you like; the hotter one is too much for some people. It fits about three or four people, and on a weekday you may have it to yourself. The river runs close by and you can hear it while you soak.
