Shoheikaku is a small ryokan on the shore of Lake Shinji in Matsue. There are two shared baths, Urashima-no-yu (浦島の湯) and Tennyo-no-yu (天女の湯). Urashima-no-yu has a small rotenburo, and men and women swap between the two daily. The hot-spring water is clear and colorless, and said to be gentle on the skin. One room type has its own rock open-air bath, open to use whenever you like. The inn is quiet, dinner is served in the room, and the windows look out over the lake.
