This ryokan sits on the shore of Lake Shinji in Matsue, and the lake view carries through the building: from the lobby, the breakfast room, and several of the baths. The large indoor bath overlooks a garden, and the outdoor baths are split by gender, a hinoki tub for women and a rock bath for men. Overnight guests can also reserve a private outdoor bath facing the lake, and rooms on the hodori (畔) floor have their own onsen rotenburo looking over the water.
