About

A small public bath inside a welfare center in Shiokawa, Kitakata, run by the city's social welfare council. There are two indoor baths: a larger one with jets and bubbles, and a smaller one with cypress and rock styling. They swap between men and women every week. The water is artificial onsen-style water rather than a natural spring, so this is a plain neighborhood bath, not a spring-water destination. There are five wash stations; bring your own soap and shampoo. The large hall can be used for resting after the bath. Locals, many of them elderly, make up most of the crowd, and the entrance is a bit hard to find in a residential area.
