Towels are extra: a bath towel is 300 yen and a face towel 200 yen, on top of the day-use bathing fee (1,000 yen for adults, 500 yen for children).

Entaijiso is a large ryokan in Unazuki Onsen with baths that look straight out over the Kurobe gorge through floor-to-ceiling glass. The main indoor bath holds around 80 people, with an attached open-air pool for about 15, and the water is clear, colorless, and known for leaving skin smooth. The men's and women's sides swap each day, and there's also a private open-air bath you can reserve for a quieter soak. The building has some age to it but is kept up well, with a kaiseki dinner and river views from most rooms.
