About

Yuttsura Hiroba (湯っつら広場) is a free public foot bath plaza in Ureshino Onsen, run by the city and open to anyone. The name comes from Saga dialect and means something like "leisurely" or "at ease." The water is real Ureshino onsen water, smooth on the skin and kept comfortably warm. The main foot bath has tables built in, handy if you want to sit and work or have a snack, and there is a small shallow basin set aside for children. Locals stop by on their way through town, and it is well kept.

The ashiyu is right on the city street, and it’s free. The water is clear, odorless, and not too hot. It consists of two baths with water, one larger one with a table in the center, and a smaller one for children, with a metal handrail. The bottom of the baths is decorated with pebbles, colorful in the children’s bath, so you can massage your feet on them. A restroom is nearby. There is a parking lot about 5 minutes away on foot, where you can park for free for 90 minutes. It is near the Ureshino Public Hot Spring (Siebold’s Bath) building. Near the ashiyu there is a poster from the game "Romancing SaGa", and you can look for such posters and ceramic tiles throughout the prefecture. 2025.09.27
