Hana Yubi Nihonkai

Hana Yubi Nihonkai is a 42-room hotel in Yunohama onsen, on the Shonai coast. The baths are separate for men and women, with kakenagashi (源泉掛け流し) spring water. Two large baths on the fifth floor, Arasaki-no-yu (荒崎の湯) and Chokai-no-yu (鳥海の湯), look over the Yunohama pine woods. Arasaki-no-yu faces the sea, so you can watch the sun go down over the water from the tub. Chokai-no-yu looks toward Mt. Chokai, one of Japan's 100 famous mountains. The two baths swap between men and women late at night, so you can try both during a stay. There is also an open-air bath among greenery, where the sea is only heard in the distance. Parking is free.
