About

A small inn at Kawarayu Onsen with eight rooms, first opened in 1661 and relocated after the Yamba dam was built. The men's and women's baths each have an indoor bath and an open-air bath looking out on mountains, sky and a bridge over the lake. Overnight guests also get a private bath that is free and needs no reservation. One guest room has its own onsen bath. Guests describe the water as soft on the skin, and the small number of rooms keeps the baths quiet.
