About
An old, rustic ryokan at Akagi Onsen, with mountain views and cloudy spring water that has a faint iron smell. There are separate indoor baths for men and women, plus a private open-air bath on the third floor that guests book in 30-minute slots (it has no washing stations; the indoor bath does). The building is packed with curios and feels very much its own thing, so it suits people who like a quirky old inn better than a polished one.
