Yumoto Kissho sits on a hillside above Naruko Onsen, one of Tohoku's old hot-spring towns with more than a thousand years of history. The large bath, Housan-no-yu (鳳山の湯), has both an indoor and an open-air section, split for men and women, filled with natural spring water. Four private baths are free to reserve and use the same spring water, and two of the special rooms, Kotosui and Shoun, have their own onsen bath built in (Shoun's is open-air). Rooms look out over the onsen town and the surrounding hills through the seasons.
