Hikage Onsen

Milky sulfur water fills the indoor bath here, and the smell of sulfur hangs in the room. The open-air bath looks out on the Shirakami Yatate mountains. There are also private family baths, one of them with a waterfall in view from the tub, and a radon rock-bed bathing room (ganbanyoku, 岩盤浴). Some of the special rooms have their own onsen bath. Day-use bathing (higaeri nyuyoku, 日帰り入浴) is accepted, though which baths day visitors can use is not clear, so check with the inn first.
