Yamashiroya

Yamashiroya is a minshuku (民宿, a small family-run inn) in the Wasezawa area of Urabandai, in Kitashiobara village. The bath uses hot spring water, and guests who stay here often mention that it runs on the hot side, which feels good after a day of skiing. Meals are a big part of the stay: dinners are generous, with seasonal mushrooms and vegetables in autumn, and there is a banquet hall where you can bring your own drinks.
