A small family-run inn on the east shore of Lake Hibara (桧原湖), at the entrance to Wasezawa Onsen. Bathing comes in two parts: gender-separated indoor baths, then a wooden open-air bath in a separate building. The open-air bath is one mixed (konyoku, 混浴) bath, taken by one party at a time, and women who want it to themselves can flip the sign at the door. Be aware that it can be seen from the road if you stand up. The water is clear, smells faintly of sulfur and feels smooth on the skin. The open-air bath is closed in winter, when only the indoor baths are in use. Reviewers also mention the inn's warm hosts and its home-style meals with vegetables from the family's own farm work.
