Lagmarket

Lagmarket is a small family-run pension in Hibara, Kitashiobara, a handy base for visitors to Lake Hibara. The baths include an indoor bath and a cypress one, and guests describe taking the hot spring water as a family on their own. Day visitors have also used the bath without staying, though it is worth calling ahead. The feel is more pension than minshuku: warm wood inside, home-grown vegetables at dinner and a hosting family that likes to talk. It is also known as a summer training camp for long-distance runners.
