Kuwanoya is a hot-spring ryokan on the Chikugo River in Ukiha, Fukuoka. The large indoor baths and the open-air baths (the men's is in a separate building) both look down over the river, and the spring water is used undiluted from the source, soft on the skin. The indoor bath has both a hot pool and a cooler one. A private family bath, bookable in advance, is free for guests on dinner-and-breakfast plans and for those dining at the inn. Day-trip kaiseki (会席) dining plans are available, and day-use bathing is possible as well.
