Suginoya is a ryokan in Furuyu, a small onsen town in the hills above Saga with a long history as a hot spring resort. The local water is nuruyu, on the mild, lower-temperature end of onsen bathing, meant for a long soak rather than a quick dip, so the warmth builds slowly. Every guest room, in the main building and the detached wing, has its own onsen bath, and there's also a large communal bath with a view over the town and mountains, plus a sauna, with the river running below.
