Tsutaya Ryokan

This ryokan sits on Obama Onsen, a coastal hot spring town on Tachibana Bay, and its bathing is built around the view. Five private open-air baths on the rooftop each look out over the water, and downstairs the shared bathhouse has a large indoor bath kept flowing from the source, a jacuzzi, a low-temperature sauna heated by the onsen itself, and a cold bath with a lie-down soaking spot. There is also a private indoor bath and a ganbanyoku hot-stone room. Guest rooms face the sea, and the ryokan recommends the rooftop private baths at sunset, when the sun goes down over the bay.
