Last entry is at 20:30, thirty minutes before closing. Admission is 600 yen for adults, 400 yen for junior high school students and 300 yen for elementary school children.

Hinokage-Onsen Station is a former Takachiho Railway station: an onsen was added in 1995, and when typhoon damage later closed the rail line for good, the building carried on as a bathhouse alone, renovated in 2018. The baths are on the upper floor of the old station building: an indoor bath, an open-air bath, a jet bath, a dry sauna and a cold bath, with clear water that leaves the skin feeling smooth. A free foot bath on the old platform looks out over the Gokase River gorge. Guest rooms are repurposed rail cars parked where trains once stood, so staying overnight means sleeping in an old train car.
