Takesako Onsen is the oldest natural hot spring sento in Kagoshima City, operating since 1892 under the name "Takesako-yu." It was renovated in 2013 and features a solid Japanese-style exterior with a karahafu gable decorated with heart-shaped patterns. The water is a natural sodium chloride spring, smooth and gentle on the skin. Facilities include a sauna, cold bath, electric bath, jet bath, bubble bath, and lockers with keys. There is parking for 28 cars. Access is 100 meters right turn from the Mizuho Street intersection near Tokushukai Hospital, and a 7-minute walk from Kisyaba tram and bus stop.
