About

Pension COME'S has two indoor baths and two outdoor rock baths, all lockable from the inside so each works as a private, family-sized bath. There's no reservation system or time limit: guests just use whichever bath is free. The mix of indoor and outdoor space shifts with the season, and in winter one of the rock baths becomes a snow-viewing rotenburo, though its shower freezes over so it's soak-only then. The water is Suzuran Onsen (すずらん温泉): clear and iron-rich, a different spring from the milky white sulfur water Norikura Kogen is known for. Guests who'd rather have that sulfur water instead get a discount ticket to the nearby public bath, Yukemuri-kan (湯けむり館). It's a small pension that's been running since 1990, closer to a family guesthouse than a formal ryokan.
