Kasyouen is a seaside ryokan at Yuhigaura Onsen on the Kyotango coast, with all 37 rooms facing the sea. The main bath pairs an indoor hall with a garden-style open-air bath, and swaps between men and women morning and night; a 2022 renovation added a sauna with a view outside. Two private baths can be booked after check-in, and five top-floor rooms have their own onsen bath with a sea view. The spring water here is known locally as bijin-no-yu (美人の湯), said to leave skin smooth. Kids are welcome, with baby gear on loan, and the lobby lounge was rebuilt around a fireplace in the same 2022 refresh.
