Ashizuri Kokusai Hotel

Ashizuri Kokusai Hotel is an unpretentious 59-room resort hotel at Cape Ashizuri, on Kochi's Pacific coast. Its large indoor bath and open-air rotenburo are both fed by the local Ashizuri spring, a natural radon source that runs weakly alkaline and gentle on the skin. The open-air bath looks straight out over the ocean, and is worth timing for sunrise as much as for a windy evening soak. Rooms are mostly Japanese-style, with a handful of Japanese-Western and Western rooms. The hotel doesn't offer day-use bathing, so the baths are for overnight guests only.
