Isaribi

Isaribi is a small ryokan of 12 rooms on a hill above Sagami Bay in Higashiizu, on the Izu Peninsula. Every room has its own open-air bath fed by the inn's own hot spring, with sea views right from the tub. There are also two shared bath sets, each a large indoor bath joined to its own open-air bath, used privately by one party at a time with no reservation needed. The name, Isaribi (漁り火), refers to the fires fishing boats once burned at night to draw in their catch, the same lights guests sometimes spot far out on the bay after dark. Reviewers describe the place as quiet and a little secluded, good for slow, unhurried stays.
