Hotel Hana An Chuzenji Lake Nikko

This lakeside hotel draws on two different springs: sulfur water piped in from Nikko Yumoto for the open-air tub of the main bathing hall, and a milder alkaline spring from Wanoshiro for its stone indoor bath and for the open-air baths of four special room types, where it is available any time of day or night. Every room faces Lake Chuzenji, and on a clear day the special rooms look out over the water to Mount Nantai and the torii gate below it. The restaurant serves a modern take on Japanese and Western dishes made with seasonal ingredients from the area.
