A bath and sauna inside JR Takahata Station
Recent reviews give 400 yen. One travel-site listing shows 300 yen for adults, so check on arrival.
Sauna room of any kind
Cold water plunge bath, typically used after sauna
Shared bathing area for all genders
A restaurant or dining room open to visitors, not only meals for overnight guests
The bath sits right inside JR Takahata Station, a few steps from the ticket gates, so you can go from the platform to the changing room almost without walking. Men's and women's baths are separate. There is a large tub, a sauna, and an open-air cold plunge that reviewers say gets very cold. The building is a community complex with a restaurant, a shop, a rest area upstairs and a hotel attached. It is a local favorite and can get busy, but visitors describe the bathing area as clean.
