Day Use
YesDay-use hours run irregularly outside Golden Week, summer and the New Year period, so call ahead to confirm. In some summers a separate evening day-use slot has run from 19:00 to 22:00, last entry 21:00.
Day-use bathing is 1,600 yen and includes a face towel. During the summer evening slot, children (age 3 through elementary school) paid 800 yen, and day-use guests could not use the hotel parking lot.

About
Kurofune Hotel has two large bathing halls, each pairing an indoor bath with an open-air rotenburo that looks out over Shimoda Bay, and a dry sauna on the indoor side. The water is a simple onsen, gentle on the skin, good for a long, slow soak rather than a quick dip. Guest rooms in the annex and east wing add their own private open-air tub with the same bay view. The hotel takes its name from the Black Ships that once anchored at Shimoda, and the building still carries a retro, Showa-era feel, chandeliers and all, alongside its dining halls.
