Sekitei is a small ryokan in Miyahama Onsen, across the water from Miyajima, with a garden that slopes down toward the sea and rises to a rocky mountain behind the building. The onsen water is piped down from that mountain into a large bath area with a cypress indoor room and an open-air bath under the sky; the two bathing areas swap between men and women on a schedule rather than mixing. Guests staying the night can also book a private bath in the spa annex when it isn't booked for a treatment. Dinner is served in individual private rooms, and there is a reservation-only evening plan for guests who aren't staying over.
