Miyahama Grand Hotel

Miyahama Grand Hotel stands in Miyahama onsen, the hot-spring town closest to Miyajima, with the Seto Inland Sea right outside. The rooftop open-air bath looks straight out over the water toward the island, and there is a second, rock-built open-air bath plus an indoor bath with the same sea view; the men's and women's sides swap daily, so guests staying overnight can try both. Two private baths round it out: one with a custom Shigaraki-ware tub, and a half-open-air one lit up around its maple trees in the evening, which can also be booked by the hour for day use. The kitchen leans on local Seto Inland Sea seafood, oysters especially.
