Ryokan Kanzaki

Ryokan Kanzaki has a single indoor onsen bath, plain and unhurried rather than large, plus a small private bath you can book for a fee, though that one runs on ordinary hot water rather than the spring. There's no rotenburo or sauna on site: the inn sends guests wanting either to Beni Mansaku no Yu (べにまんさくの湯), a public bathhouse two minutes' walk away. The spring is known locally as bijin-no-yu (美人の湯), water said to leave skin smooth and keep you warm long after you've stepped out. The inn itself is a small tatami ryokan built around a Japanese garden with a koi pond, across the water from Miyajima in Miyahama Onsen. Some rooms look over the garden, others toward the Seto Inland Sea. Day bathing is open to visitors as well as overnight guests.
