Kijima Onsen is a small public bathhouse in central Tottori, one of four day-use baths in that part of the city, filled with real hot-spring water. The smaller tubs are reported to be out of service, so in practice it's the one large indoor bath, kept mild and on the cooler side rather than scalding, which is why regulars who like a long, slow soak choose it over the other three. There's no outdoor bath here, and washing facilities are basic: bring your own soap, shampoo and towel. It's a plain, well-worn neighbourhood spot rather than a polished bathhouse, and the big tub of gentle water is what keeps people coming back.
